SwissGuarantor is an independent private Swiss service. It is neither a bank, nor an insurance company, nor a public authority. The issuance of a rental guarantee is never automatic: every application is assessed individually, and the final decision always rests with the SwissGuarantor team. Payment of the application fee purchases the assessment only and creates no right to a guarantee. A guarantee, where issued, strengthens a rental application but creates no entitlement to any lease: landlords and agencies remain entirely free in their choice of tenant.
